‘Here To There‘ is your chance to review our 2023 work programme and have your say on how we can best meet OFNZ member needs.
During this two hour workshop we will:
- check in with members that we are on track
- review suggestions made during the Refresh process and capture anything missed
- workshop timelines
- agree on priorities and timing
This one page map showing the major needs we identified, what we will gain by meeting these needs (ie benefits for members/society) and the key solutions suggested – grouped by response themes. Please review this before the workshop so that you can contribute suggestions – either on the weighting of the benefits or with new solution suggestions. If you can attend in person, that will be wonderful, if you are unable to attend, please send your suggestions to ; Lisapbuchan@gmail.com and ofarmnz@gmail.com
As you will have heard, the Organic Products and Production Bill is likely to be passed into law this year, with new regulations being introduced by 2024 to ensure that claims of organic status can be verified. OrganicFarmNZ has made good progress during negotiations with MPI to ensure we can operate in our preferred way for the future. However, there will be a period of change and transition to new processes. Together with members’ input during interviews for the OrganicFarmNZ strategic Refresh, this creates an opportunity for us to better meet members’ needs.
