Tour Fletcher Farm where gardener Seth and landowner Kirsty are cooperating to create a self-sufficient permaculture oasis. Starting two years ago their project is now flourishing and includes a food forest, annuals vegetable garden, compost making and extensive perennial and tree plantings.
Seth is an arborist who has trained in permaculture design and has a passion for syntropic agroforestry.
“I spend my evenings and weekends in the garden, sowing seeds, planting plants, pruning plants and trees and just observing the beauty that nature creates with me as part of its system. We have chickens, ducks, two cows and two horses. We make compost for the annual garden beds and the food forest runs itself with a little help from me”
These days the idea of small scale self sufficiency has never made more sense. Not owning land doesn’t need to be a barrier. Come along and be inspired by those who have found a way to make it work. Learn how to work with nature to produce an abundance of food, and simply enjoy the beauty and harmony of this space.
Please note…We have set a limit of 20 people for this event so if you plan to come you do need to register emailing me. Once I hear from you I will confirm your registration and provide further details including the address of the property.
Looking forward to seeing you there,
